Biotech Mystery

James Calder's 2005 book, In A Family Way is full of action as well as disturbing future medical possibilities (in fact, they aren’t that far in the future!). Freelance photographer and PI Bill Damen becomes embroiled big time in this biotech mystery. His cousin's daughter is missing, and while trying to determine what happened, Damen discovers a labyrinth of lies, scientific wonder and atrocities--all centering on his own extended dysfunctional family. Good characters and research on genetic engineering. His "sidekick" Clem is a plus. This is the third Bill Damen novel.
