Industrial Mystery

In Jo Bannister's The Fifth Cataract, Clio Marsh, novelist and retired MD, goes to a survivalist school as research for her new manuscript. But things go afoul when members of the school become ill, and one dies. This leads to Clio truly fighting for survival against adversaries that seem to have all the advantage. Well developed story of industrial maleficence, with strong characters and lots of tension.
